Montezuma Castle National Monument. Early settlers gave the place the unusual name. It is not a castle and the Aztec emperor Montezuma has never been here. In fact the Sinagua dwelling has been abandoned almost a century before Montezuma was born.
The ancient Sinagua Indians lived in this five-story, 20-room cliff dwelling over 600 years ago.
