Rawhide. It is a must-see for out-of-towners, one of the most
visited tourist attractions in the valley and a great place for
kids and adults to have fun.
Attractions. Here you have the chance to step back into the 1880's, walk up and down the Main
Street (be careful you could step right into a 'gunfight'), shop for some
souvenirs, visit the Lost Dutchman's Mine and do some gold panning.
You might want to get
a customized 'Wanted-Poster' or a picture taken from you behind the bars
of the Sheriff's jail. There are also stagecoach rides into the dessert,
the Giant Express Train and a petting zoo, and much more like the Widowmaker,
a mechanical bull you can ride.
Eat and drink. Inside Rawhide there is the famous Rawhide Steakhouse
(you gotta eat there ... friendly service, huge plates, great steaks, live
country music), a Town Grill and a Margarita Bar.
I have been several times at Rawhide and I enjoyed it every time. A great
place to relax and have fun - and attended the huge parties like Halloween,
4th of July and New Years Eve (with fireworks you wont forget).
